 Sometimes the weathermen do get it right, today they were very close! Yep it’s 31c as they forecast, yep, we had a shower or two just as they said.
  I had nearly finished mowing the lawns when we had our first shower, 13 hours later and it was still showering, rain of the torrential sort. They omitted to tell us about the 80mph winds that came with the shower. No complaints really , we chose to be here in ‘ the wet’
  I did manage to get all my weekly tasks completed before we were invited out to dinner by Glyn and Alana for my birthday treat ( it was four days ago). We all had a very nice meal  at Trinity Beach Tavern then back to ours for late night drinks on the patio whilst watching the shower…….. Coming in horizontal on the wind.

Great news, with just three days to go before our trip to Bali Jane has gone and broken her leg, how clumsy is that? It’s a very neat fracture above the ankle. She rolled it off the step as we were moving furniture out of the pool area before it blew away into the ocean.
 We spent all morning at Cairns A@E where Jane was looked after exceptionally well, she had first class treatment. She is now in plaster but it has to be replaced in about a weeks time meaning we can only go to Bali for a few days. Just when things seem to be ticking along nicely something pops up and bites you in the arse. It’s going to be a bit of a trial getting through the airports as she is hopeless on crutches. You would think that after 30 odd years of showing people how to manage on crutches she would have some idea………….nah!
  Last nights storm has left a lot of debris around, many trees and palms have lost branches, most of them seem to have ended up in our pool. So that’s what I have been doing most of the afternoon, clearing up while old stumpy  watched.
