Cloudy morning. Kindle crashed last night (shock horror) and a £20 phone call didn’t help. However it seems to have righted itself this morning. Spent another day in Fremantle visiting the Roundhouse and it’s convict history, then sought out a couple places of interest neither of which had changed much.

H S B C have struck again after spending a week transferring our money to our Aussie account it had suddenly reappeared back in our U K account! This cost us £17 per transaction, for nothing. Perth H S B C cannot tell us where our money has been for the last week so now we must speak to somebody in the U K. Spent the day angry and frustrated, mooching around the city. At 3 o’clock we returned to the bank (As U K banks had then started work) and after a 45 minute phone call at their expense a very helpful young man told us how to transfer our money in one hit, at only a small cost, though it will still take 4 working days and there are still no guarantees. So, it looks like we are stuck here until at least the beginning of next week. Why couldn’t the bank in the U K have explained it. It’s all very frustrating.
Some good news, our friend James has finished his shift at Kalgoorie Mines and is back in Perth. We are going out for tea with him tomorrow night.
We have a new leader on the beer board-------- We called into a Belgian Beer Café where Stella was the equivalent of £6.40 a pint, but Leffe, a beer that looked and tasted like Tetleys Mild, was an eye watering $16.40 a pint, or £11.08 per pint!!!! How about that, and it was just a pub.

Spoke with Greg at K B Campers and explained our difficulties getting our money. No worries, it’s going to be Tuesday next week at the earliest. Decided to go for a long walk from Barrack Square Jetty along the walkway along the Swan River. For some of the way we were accompanied by a dolphin and her calf, she was just cruising up and down within touching distance, just checking us out and doing a bit of fishing. Lovely to see. Along the walkway at interval are pieces of gym equipment for anyone to use, (don’t know what they are called but you find them in any gym ) no personal trainer required. Later had a super evening with James in the Moon and Sixpence.
