Had to book into this state of the art apartment for another 4 nights at great cost. We’re now at a bit of a loose end, thoroughly fed up with window shopping , and have done most of the touristy things.
Chatted to a few blokes in the Boheme (another place of interest) even they were whingeing about how expensive it is in Perth. Even the razor blades I use in the U K around £9 for 4 are £17 here. It’s just ridiculous.

Skyped Vanessa and John and remembered to our horror that Monday is a bank holiday. We were working on the Monday being the last of the” 4 working days” which it would take to get our money over here. Will we ever get out of Perth!
Spent the afternoon with James at the Subiaco Stadium watching Fremantle v St Kilda (Melbourne) playing “footy” or Australian Rules Football. St Kilda won 105 to 58 and apparently it wasn’t a classic game, but how would we know! It is a very fast moving game and not to be played by the faint hearted, 2 players stretchered off to hospital. The game was also played in 26C, better for watching than playing. We now know a lot more about Aussie Rules, James being very good at explaining what was happening. A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon, with the match tickets including the cost of public transport( train) back to Perth.

A lunchtime pint at the Lucky Shag Bar at Barrack Square Jetty ( picture to follow!)
Watch some very impressive street musicians up in town, then back to Delapidated Old Villas to watch the Monaco Grand prix on T V. Fed up and footsore. They fore cast a storm tonight.

Great news as we checked our Aussie bank account this morning, our loot has finally landed and we can go ahead and buy our van. Quick visit to the bank for a bankers cheque for the amount we need.
We have arranged to meet James for lunch at Little Creatures in Freo and it has turned out to be goodbye, as we will move on tomorrow.
The storm forecast yesterday came in the night , about 25mm rain and high winds, then showers all through today causing us to take shelter in places of interest. We even went into the Maritime Museum. Tea in the Moon and Sixpence then retired hurt to Hotel Babylon!
