Thurs 27 August… Woke up to a misty morning which soon burnt off to give us another very warm sunny day. We read in the newspaper “The Australian” that if August continues as it has, it will be the warmest overall on record. We still wouldn’t have liked to have been down in the south where it may be warmer than usual but is still flipping cold and wet. We will just have to tough it out here in central Queensland. To celebrate this news we spent the day on the beach, that’s why we are wittering on about the weather as we have done bugger all! The surf was good but it was more fun when the boys were here and the water is definitely getting warmer.
We are getting known here at Rainbow Beach and nearly on first name terms with the butcher---he was asking after Vanessa and the boys this morning. We just need to chat him up a bit to see if we can get some of his better quality stuff from out the back. We have a reasonable internet here so all is right with the world.
