Rant of the day

Fri 28 August… my last comment in yesterdays blog was like the kiss of death as the vagaries of Australian internet continue to frustrate us. Having 2 hours left of the 5 hours we bought the day before we tried to log on last night but would it let us-------no way. We can actually see the router aerial from our van, it’s only 15 metres away. We tried again this morning and had no problem except we did not want to sit in the van with the temperature reaching 30C. When we do get logged on it’s so painfully slow. That’s to days rant!!
We were up early to go for a walk before the heat of the day (and Peter suffering with a savage mans cold,) we wanted to walk along the beach to the part of the shoreline which gives Rainbow Beach it’s name. The sheer cliff face, mostly sandstone changes colour every few metres and we wanted to take photos of them in the early morning sun. Sods Law----it was cloudy first thing, but we took photos anyway hoping the colours will show up. We computerated when we came back and had a late brekkie before mooching off to the beach for the rest of the day. The surf was particularly big, often catching us out, bowling us over, and whipping off the Navigators tom-toms not to mention her Magellans!
Won’t be long before we have to fire up the shiny thing and by then it will be dark, perhaps that’s the answer, the shiny thing can’t see the router!
