More trouble with the internet!

Mon 13 July… So that was Tamworth, the Country Music Capital of Australia. Fortunately we were not subjected to any of it as we hate country music with a passion. ( Sorry Monica!) They also have a giant golden “geetar” which we also missed.
It’s a miserable morning as we set off, it rained a lot in the night and it rained up until lunchtime which was a shame as we were crossing the Great Dividing range again, but couldn’t see much for mist, low cloud and rain. Over the hill we dropped down into Scone country, The Horse Capital of Australia with stud farms and stables everywhere, there is also a big racing connection too. Another hour or so later we are in coal mining country, which is very apt as we are on our way to Sydney via Newcastle and Wallsend. We cross the top of the wine area of the Hunter Valley but it was too far out of our way to go and investigate. We have pulled up short of Sydney, putting off having to tangle with the traffic until tomorrow. We are about an hour away. We are close to the coast at a nice camp called Lake Macquarie, very quiet and peaceful by the lakeside. But once again we are frustrated by the lack of internet. Yesterdays camp at Tamworth said they had it, and hadn’t, here we have just paid $10 and it doesn’t work. Navigator spoke to 2 very nice people on the support desk, whilst wandering around the park, phone in one hand and laptop in the other for over half an hour. To no avail. She wasn’t best pleased! She suggested that they get a longer antennae!!
