That was Peterborough then, which we left fairly early in the morning(crack of 9) because we have a lot to do. Our fist stop to view, not many minutes after leaving, was The Grotto(Santa was out)Took lots of photos, and the best is yet to come.It will be difficult to describe all the sites we saw along this stretch of the ocean road as they are unbelievably stunning but we do have the photos and the memories. We both feel very privileged to have this opportunity to be doing this. After the Grotto is London Bridge, followed closely by the Arch, then soon after that Loch Ard Gorge. We managed to get down onto he beach here Magnificent. Then it's the site that everyone comes to see, The 12 Apostles, except there are only 8 left. This site is busy and a little commercialised, but we manage to see it all. The road then takes us inland through Otway National Park, very narrow winding roads of "up the mountain, down the mountain" Great Ocean Road is again a bit of a misnomer as when for about 80K we do not actually see the sea except briefly at Glen Aire. On through the forest until we reach Apollo Bay and back to the shore line. Following the narrow coast road round for another 20K which felt like 50K we arrive at our destination of Kennett River. Although the site is by the road it is very quiet and a wildlife haven.
As peter was plugging the van into the mains a beautiful green and red parrot sat on the post next to him, supervising! In the eucalyptus tree only 1 meter away sat a Koala, not a bit phased by us, then as welook about we see two or three more mooching about. I climbs up the tree at the back of the van,not 2feet away from the window and he gazed in to watch us blogging. And yes it crashed again.
