Monkey Mia is a destination resort being 151K at the end of the peninsula consequently we have to do everything there is to do. With this in mind I was again up early to hot foot it along the beach to watch and photo the feeding of the dolphins. We were a bit disappointed with yesterdays photos so today I got myself into the best position possible and took some great snaps only to find out later that the camera battery was flat!! Bugger!!
Back down the track some 25K’s is the small town of Denham situated on the west side of the peninsula. It has a butcher, bakers and a supermarket but most importantly a bottle’o ,and as supplies are getting low we needed to pay a visit. There is also an interesting Resource Centre (!)which had a modern looking internet access which let us read our emails. When we came to send the blog using our own laptop, “ the computer he said NO”. We spent 15 minutes looking at a blank screen, apart from the icon at the top which said “connecting” ----- connect it didn’t. More communications frustration.
Stopped at the very pretty Little Lagoon on the way back, and almost perfectly circular lagoon, not more than 3 metres deep at any point and the water a colour of turquoise. A very calming effect after the altercations in the internet place!!

Another windy night with storms forecast for today. Dolphin feeding was a bit erratic as the sea was quite rough tho we did manage a couple of decent snaps.
Back down the track through the town of Denham (Twinned with Denham, Bucks) a further 25K there is a lookout and boardwalk called Eagles Bluff. From this lookout Ospreys are to be seen flying about and in the shallows various species of aquatic life, ie sharks, stingray, turtles, shoals of fish and the occasional dugongs are to be easily spotted. True to form we are in the right place at the wrong time, no a bird animal or fish to be seen. They have gone somewhere else for the winter. To cap it all, there was a force 9 gale blowing and it started to rain. Putting that excursion down as a nil result we scoot off back to Denham to do battle with the shiny thing in the resource centre felling less than confident that we would get a better result than yesterday. Surprise, surprise ,we have some success in that we manage to get the blog away but then seriously upset the system by trying to email photos. After nearly an hour of uploading pictures we hit the send button but the computer says NO! Gave up and will try again another time.
By late afternoon the storm is on us. Back at Monkey Mia it’s a case of batten down the hatches and open a case of V B.
