Carnarvon

15/06/2011
We were looking forward to going to Monkey Mia and it didn’t disappoint us, we loved it, especially the dolphins, an animal you could watch all day. Time to move on and we have pitched up a little further north at Carnarvon. The total distance from Monkey Mia is 350K’s,with 150 of them going the wrong way as we firstly drove south east down the Peron peninsulato get to the North west Coastal Highway where we turned north. After 230K’s we stop for a coffee at Wooramel Roadhouse where we realised we were just as far north s Monkey Mia. Which means we are only 130K’s further north than we were yesterday----- are you keeping up??
The rain storm that came yesterday evening lasted most of the night with flood plains actually having water on them. There has been some local flooding but nothing serious.
Carnarvon is quite a big town compared with our last 2 stops and already we have done some shopping, which includes buying a gizmo ! And we will say nowt about it until it is up and running, if it works we should be computerating “stress free.”

CRIKEY, RIPPER, BONZA it works, the bloody gizmo works! We can computerate at will. As long as there is a phone signal we can email, surf the net or skype to our hearts content with our new mobile wi fi gismo, and we did until late last night, mind you we haven’t changed location yet.
We spent the day exploring Carnarvon, not that there is a great lot to see, the town looks a bit tired and in need of sprucing up.
We optimistically bought some new swimming gear today, it will have to warm up some before the new budgie smugglers get an outing!
