Fri 23 October… Another sluggish start but we did manage dinner last night! Went into Cairns and booked ourselves into the Discovery Resort Hotel for 3 nights. It’s 5 mins walk to the centre of town which means no more driving next week. The driver had a memory lapse and forgot the Navigators birthday! As usual!!
Sat 24 October… No dinner again last night and we had bought some red snapper too. Got hammered again with the neighbours------they are a bad influence!
Today was going to be our last day on the beach but it was too windy and cloudy to lie around. We did go in the sea which was quite rough and caused the Navigator some grief with extra ballast on board ( do you now how much sand you can get in a bikini!!)That was Clifton Beach. Later we went up to Palm Cove for lunch then back to Lake Placid to contemplate packing.
