Hanging around Wonga

Sun 11 October… More rain which continued until lunchtime, very heavy at times. Once the rain had passed we went for a walk along the beach, armed with a sharp stick to stab the blue jellyfish that get washed up, they pop when you stick ‘em. Our friend Hamish tells us they are called Bluebottles and they can give you a very nasty ,painful sting. Lots of the main tourist beaches have designated swimming areas which are inside large stinger proof nets but we don’t have them up here in the wilderness. We will be doing our swimming in the pool from now on.
We discovered today that our furry mate that knocks the bins over at night ( he’s given up on ours as it only contains bottles and tinnies) isn’t what we thought he was, he is ,in fact a bandicoot. They are quite rare and endangered so we are very pleased to see him.

Mon 12 October… Another day just dossing about, a bit of dorrising inside the van cockpit, then a walk along the beach with a pointy stick popping the bluebottles. In and out of the swimming pool all day to cool off, then sent an email to Perth asking where to take the van to under the buy back scheme, then before you know where you are it’s V B time.

  1. Brainstorm....when you get back steal a loaf of bread and before you know it you will be offered 2 choices...the gibbet thingy or transportation...accept the latter and I will be waiting at Botany Bay with cold VBs in hand...all solved and if Richard Rawlings was still around he would have given you 10 quid to help out.Sorted.OR...catch a boat to Indonesia and then here...you will be placed behind razor wire for a while...I'll mount a refugee case and cite fear of a Conservative Government coming to power as grounds to be granted permanent residency. Will get to hear you say Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi Oi Oi yet.Exhausted now.Talk to you later. Will do email as well.
