Kewarra Beach

Tues 22 September… We set off for another of Cairns northern beaches, Kewarra Beach and managed to get there without going via some gorge or waterfall. Kewarra is yet another beautiful, fairly secluded beach with palm trees virtually up to the waters edge. It’s half term here in Queensland so there are plenty of youngsters on the beach, if there weren’t, the place would be empty. You don’t see many Nomads getting sand in their creases! It was another hot day again with a hot wind off the sea so the navigator decided it was an “under the igloo day“. We have had the igloo about 9 months and it’s still a crypton factor challenge trying to stop it blowing away whilst filling the ballast bags up with sand, and later folding it up and putting it back into it’s bag in a force 9! So, we spent the day on the beach and in the sea.
Our 12 months are up a week tomorrow, 30th, which is when we were due to fly back to the U K but because of the extension to our visa we have cancelled our flights and plan to keep on roaming as long as we can, but it all depends on whether or not we can let our cottage soon.
