Going nowhere!

We get the call about lunchtime to take the van in and so book into Snowtels, Cooma, for another night. WE leave the van with them and get a lift back to town where we wander around aimlessly. Pick up our emails at the tourist information office, highlight of the day. 2 from Alison and Barry really get us chuckling but then it was back to being dead bored. Next the dreaded phonecall bad news as we suspected. They have been in touch with a specialist in Canberra who will look at it on Monday. We collect the van and go back to the site and drown our sorrows. While all this has been happening (or not happening)big black clouds have been gathering and by 4 o'clock it's tipping down. We told them it would but they wouldn't believe us! We were told that 40,000 sheep went through the local market 2 weeks ago as farmers have no grass, too dry, and no feed.Off to Canberra tomorrow,100k should do it in 2 days,we've been told there are no severe hills in the way.
Sat Another grey, wet morning. First off we find a phone box to phone Vanessa and managed to get her without going via Shipston Surgery! The road to Canberra is the flattest of all the roads out of Cooma just as well as the van struggles up the slightest gradient. As the road takes us close to Fyshwick where the garage is,we decide to find it to save time and temper on Monday morning. Having done that ,the first site we investigate was full of boy scouts doing scouty things and no electric,so we move on.We had been told of a site near the city centre, but it was closed as they were setting up Canberra Royal Show. We eventually found a site north of the city everything we needed. We left the bad weather at Cooma and arrived in glorious sunshine, but then a hooley sprang up and it looks like rain after the dust storm!
