Fyshwick garage and on to Queanbeyan

Nice sunny morning, pack up a bit quick as we are anxious to get over to Fyshwick. Find it quite easily, it's where it was 2 days ago. After a chat with the Boss he feels it needs a scan so we sit in the van until the chief scanning man is ready to take a look.He takes it round the back and we set off for a very interesting walk around a suburban industrial estate! They must be a clumsy lot in Canberra as there are a lot of crash repairers. We found a place for coffee, then investigate Bunnings(B and Q)as it has air conditioning. It's very hot wandering aroung an industrial estate and so called into a furniture store as that had air con too. A call from the garage and we head off to get the good news. The scan shows it could be one or three things so we opt for the cheapest solution to start with. They don't have the parts to do the job and so we have to return tomorrow which means we need somewhere to stay tonight. Reluctant to go back to last nights site as it's back through the city, and the girl on the desk suggests Queanbeyan a small town out west.Spelt as Wack would pronounce it.For some inexplicable reason the campsites are full and we get the very last powered site available. Not been set up long before the sky goes black and it starts to rain. Time we got paid for this!
Back to the garage the next day we expect a nothing day and so it proves to be.Spare parts arrive lunchtime then it's a case of killing time while they sort it. We make lunch, coffee and a slice of pie last as long as we can then wander around a caravan and boat shop looking at grey waste pipes. It is very boring. We find a big book warehouse and spend a good hour looking at books and pictures. Went for a cup of tea and a bannana milkshake,it doesn't get any better.Back to the garage to sit in their aircon reception, then the good news "it's fixed" We part with $680 and are recommended to get it serviced. We need Guy urgently. Can't get it done before Fri in Canberra, and there is no way we are trudging about an industrial estate again. We are Canberra-ed out and head for the hills.
