Toora
We are staying another night at Toora as there is no chance of getting to Wilsons Promontory, it is likely to be closed for a week or more.Last night we could see the red glow of the fire across the bay.Woke to rain again, but as the Wifi is really good here we do jobs and upload lots of photos. Those on the list must wonder what has hit them!( If we have missed anybody off please let us know) By lunch it's not stopped raining,so we stow everything and go for a drive along the coast. First Port Albert next to Welshpool (Port Talbot?!) very nice but shut! We saw about 25 folk total, but had some excellent fish and chips. Not wishing to disturb anybody, we drove on to Yarram to do a bit of shopping. One of the shops has a map in the window with all the local fires on fairly close and a bit scary. We can see smoke all around from different vantage points. Stocked up with essential supplies ( the Toueys is a bit dear here) and head off for the Agnes Falls. It's up a depth and misty but not quite as bad as other places we have nearly seen. The Falls are in a rugged bit of countryside, a steep rocky gorge that falls 60M, it would have been really something if there had been a bit more water going over it. No one else here so very peaceful and the woodland smells are lovely, gum trees and eucalyptus. Nobody at Port Albert, nobody at Agness Falls---- where are they? Back at the site it's still raining and there's nobody here.Is it us?
