Lakes Entrance

By 9 30 Sat morning we have achieved an awful lot!We eventually managed to speak to Vanessa, had booked tickets for a boat trip and bought some fresh fish (Hapuka) for tea. So back for bacon butties done on George.Another quick trip to the Bottleo, and supermarket for veg and call in again at the video shop to check emails(none) Our boat trip in the afternoon is for 2 and half hours around the bay/lakes.It actually takes us past the entrance and then inland to Lakes King and Victoria via Paynesville where lots of rich folk live in houses hat have their own moorings. It's very windy by now but as there aren't too many people on the boat we are able to find a sheltred ,sunny spot on the top deck. Ther's a very strange group/Family? on board,3 Chinese women and an older chap who looks more Albanian/Mongolian/Serb? One Woman seems to have a brand new digital camera and they spent the entire 2 and half hours photographing each other in different poses, oblivious of the passing scenery. Wouldn't want to leaf through their photo album! There is another family with 3 children under 3, and we can't watch as they seem to be in constant danger of falling overboard! Back ashore we have 2 tokens or BOGOFs ( for a beer) for the R S L club. It would be rude not to use them. The R S L here is more like an amusement arcade full of Pokies( One armed bandits) and the noise is deafening, even to Peter! We have our 2 freebies and scram, back to the van to gorilla the fish.Delicious!
