Bay View, Napier
Weather hot decided to stay another night as this is an ideal place as a base for visits round Hawkes Bay and it's wineries. It is also cheap, very clean and we have the run of the kitchen and barbeque to ourselves.Drove into Napier to the information centre and booked a wine tasting trip.We were picked up at the camp at midday and from here on things get a little blurred!Eight of us on the bus,4 Brits,2yanks and 2Swiss. Four wineries later all very mellow though there were lots of wines that wern't to our taste, but we drank them anyway! In total we bought 3 bottles not tried them yet. Back to base, barbeque and bed. We would tell you where we visited if we could remember. Plan to spen Sunday morning blogging at the internet cafe which now brings you right up to date. We are off for a mooch round Napier in the rain. It has lots of art deco biuldings and decorations.

Gooday cobbers, hope we find you well and not too hung over.We are all well now that the crimbo bug seems to have loosened its grip. Brian even went to the vets not a well man, severe case of man flu. We have been having a great time beating and shooting only a few more days of the season left and the liver can stop being punished for being so evil. It was getting to the stage were we were having difficulty getting drinks locally as The Bear shut without notice and we were forced to drink in The Georgebut then knight on white charger appeared well it was Baggy actually, difficult to imagine him on a horse will try to wipe image out of mind,he has taken over The Shoe, a proper grown up pub with heating, most excellant. We have taken the pups out beating a few times and Duke(small hairdresser one) ha sreally got it, Becks on the other hand who is bigger than Bass now, lacks the finesse and is like a demolition squad. Bass went lame last week at Alscot, then Duke cut himself, Becks got hawthorn in his paws and went lame and BB dogs is howling in the kitchen trying to attract male suitors as she is in full blown season and trying to escape at every oppourtunity. We have a busy week,Alscot, Swiftys, and Berryfields, should be interesting with no dogs!!! Some good news, Brian found his shooting jumper, Wil James had been given it by Andy at the Hart. You could tell it was Brians it had that pooh bear shape thing going on at the front that is so unique to BK. Wil was sent home with no jumper and told to go to the charity shop when he needed clothes in future. What else, oh we have booked a holiday, off to Egypt 9th Feb, can't wait to get to the sun etc. Take care keep sending the bloggs, lots of love Sue & Brian x
