Another gorgeous winters day with a bit of breeze chilling the temperature down to 30ish! Jane decided it was the sort of day to blitz the van, now I keep being told to” Wipe th’a bloody feet!”
High tide at the lagoon meaning we can swim amongst the mangroves which is a very strange experience, taking care not to get tangled up in the roots.
Our patent antinastybug screen fell down!

Spent the day, or most of it on the island across the lagoon, just sunbathing and drifting with the current. First one way, until the tide changed and then the other.
Hatched a cunning plan for the bug screen, involving more double sided sticky tape and industrial quantities of superglue.

Out here at Port Smith, obviously there is no mains electricity, and last night the camp generator broke down, not for long but right in the middle of cooking dinner. In true british spirit, did we panic? N0, just opened another beer and drank our way through it! Also we had a mini wind storm, which had one or two of our neighbours jumping around in the early hours of the morning, stowing annexes and putting awnings away. The storm rearranged the red dust a fair bit, making place look as tho we had had a fall of red snow. ………. The joys of camping!
