Wed 20 May… After yesterdays traumas we promised ourselves a full day on the beach, so after a quick trip to the supermarket for rolls and ice for the eskie, we are on the beach. We have a good thing going with the deckchair man on the beach, we are his best customers so he does us a deal. We get 2 sun beds and a beach umbrella for 20 bucks. Everybody else pay 35 for the day. He probably thinks we are professional surfers on vacation from the UK, it must be the “board shorts and ripcurl tee-shirts” that do it! He’s a very nice man! The surf is spectacular today so like a couple of kids we are in it until knackered. We have picked up more surfing trophies more gravel rash and bumps and the Navigator was having trouble with her washing! Strong stuff this surf! Our A B B is at the Divers Tavern as we have foregone cheap beer for the nasty rash we get at the Roey.
